Bobby Barren Critcher
Bobby Barren Critcher, 79, of Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at his home.
Bobby was born in Granville County to the late Earl Barren Critcher and Victoria Critcher Morris. He was, also, preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie Jenkins Critcher; five sisters, Catherine Frazier Armstrong, Edith Aycock, Christine Hamrick, Marjorie Baines, Peggy Clark; and two brothers, Carlton Critcher and Jack Critcher.
Bobby was retired after working for over 43 years as an electrician for Champion International, and then International Paper Companies. He loved woodworking and was an avid UNC Tar Heels fan.
He is survived by his sister, Edna C. Dickens and her husband, Harvey, of Littleton; sister-in-law, Erma Lee Chichester and her husband, J.P. of Chesapeake, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Boice-Willis clinic and Halifax Regional Medical Center for all their care and support for Bobby.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church in Littleton with Rev. Stan Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 4:30 at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services, 731 Roanoke Ave., Roanoke Rapids.
